The Design Process

Our attention to detail begins with the planning stages: our dedicated project managers work closely with our clients to not only realise their vision, but help them to find it. During home visits, we’ll hone in on the crucial details, the needs and wants that are unique to each individual: specialist storage for a collection of chef’s knives, a supersized kitchen island for a family that cooks together, a cleverly concealed high-tech coffee nook. We’ll consider the proportions of your space, and find solutions to the architectural quirks that are part and parcel of period homes. Armed with these, we’ll produce the initial design drawing and itemised estimate of costs, and review both in our next design meeting. We know that it’s important to take the time to get things right, making tweaks to the design until every element is just so. Then we’ll create custom cabinetry perfectly proportioned to the room.

The Build

Our background in traditional British cabinetry informs every piece that we make - but we combine that sensibility with state of the art modern technology, offering 21st century craftsmanship and creating consistent, precise details without ever compromising quality. We don’t have a ‘standard’ cabinet size; instead, our skilled cabinet makers create custom widths and heights in our own workshop, built to last in high quality materials, allowing us to create a perfect fit based on proportions, architecture, and the ambitions of each project. We’re meticulous about every piece that leaves our workshop, right down to the paint - by first spraying our cabinetry in our workshop, and then painting it in situ, we achieve our signature hand-brushed finish.

Installation

Precise installation is a crucial part of the process, making sure that every bespoke detail fits perfectly in place. Our trusted team of fitters have a wealth of knowledge and experience, bringing that same attention to detail to installation as we do to crafting cabinetry in the workshop, and prioritising a seamless, sensitive service while working in your home. Once every element has been expertly installed we brush on the final coat of paint by hand, yet another fine detail of handcrafted cabinetry that sets our kitchens apart.

Project Management

Our company was founded by a husband and wife team, and the personal approach of a family business is something we have prioritised as we’ve grown. Designing a bespoke kitchen is an exciting journey, and one that should be enjoyed: we’re with you every step of the way, for complete peace of mind. Philip and Keighley’s backgrounds, in fine British cabinetry and design respectively, inform every one of our kitchens, and Philip’s expert eye is on every kitchen produced in our workshop, close to our family home. You’ll always have a dedicated project manager on hand, a full service from start to finish; we even take care of ordering, delivery, and installation of white goods, worktops, and any additional hardware, so you know that every element is being seen to by someone who understands the big picture of your bespoke kitchen.
Integrity in process, taking the time and applying the relevant skills to execute a project with the intended outcome. Making our collaborators ambitions a reality.
