About us

Philip Clay kitchens was first established in the South of England by husband and wife team Philip and Keighley Clay.

Every project is a marriage between Philip’s years as a specialist cabinetmaker, which he first studied in High Wycombe, the 19th century hub of English furniture making, and Keighley’s background in design from London’s famed Central Saint Martins.
Today, our business is built upon the shaker design pillars of simple design, beautifully executed. Every project that we take on across the UK is completely bespoke: there is no ‘as standard’ element, and nothing is mass produced, not even our cabinet widths, so every element can be personalised.
We draw finer details and crucial proportions from the architecture of each individual home, and use spatial planning principles to create effortless designs with every modern criteria for luxury living considered. Our in-house team of specialists, each with at least a decade of experience, takes projects from conception to completion, sourcing the best quality materials and FCA timber, handling all artisanal and structural elements of the build, and working closely with clients and interior architects at every stop, for a fully cohesive service. We pride ourselves on delivering every one of your ambitions to the very highest standard, with Philip Clay himself still signing off on every build that leaves our workshop.
Integrity in process, taking the time and applying the relevant skills to execute a project with the intended outcome. Making our collaborators ambitions a reality.
